CAMP DEL CENTENARI – CF Badalona

2. Camp del Centenari – Standing just off exit 5 of the C31 motorway, or alternatively a ten minute walk from Badalona Pompeu Fabra metro station, you will find the home of CF Badalona. After years in the wilderness and on the verge of extinction, a merger with Unio de l’Esport Badaloni meant that they were still around to celebrate their centenary in 2002-3.

The club got itself promoted to Segunda B the following year, and has twice come close to getting back to Segunda for the first time since 1967. This season they are again in the mix for a play-off position, and whilst their ground is pretty ramshackle, it will cost you just twelve euros to get into it. A short walk south is a lovely beach should the wife and kids not share your enthusiasm for Spanish Third Division football.
