Estadio Municipal Nou Barris – There is nothing particularly special about this ground, indeed in many ways it is even more ramshackle than the Camp Del Centenari, and the astroturf surface has certainly seen better days. However should you fancy some Sunday lunchtime entertainment and you like to root for the underdog, take metro line 3 to Via Julia and turn right as you exit it. A couple of minutes later you will find the home of CF Montañesa, a club very definitely at the heart of the local community.

After over eighty years in the shadows, the club made it to the Spanish Tercera Division in 2010-11 for the first time ever, and even made it to the play-offs for promotion to Segunda B last summer. Club president Emilio Llamas Fernandez seems to think they could have afforded to go up, but even at their current level they are clearly punching well above their weight given the resources at their disposal. However the fans are passionate and the club are very welcoming, after getting over their initial shock that someone from outside Nou Barris has come to watch their team! Again it will cost you only twelve euros to get in, with women paying just seven.
