One of the most high profile assets in Spanish football, Isco joined boyhood club Malaga back in 2011 for £6million after just seven first team appearances for Valencia. He quickly went on to prove the game time he craved was deserved with five goals in his first season in Andalusia helping Malaga reach the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Despite the teams well publicised summer turmoil Isco is now making sure Malaga stay in the Europe’s premier competition, qualifying top of their group and sitting fourth in La Liga, Malaga remain on track to do so. It remains to be seen where Malaga’s ownership go next with the club, but if the finances remain in such a way that every player has a price, there will be quite a few clubs interested in matching Isco’s.
