BARÇA PLAN SWOOP FOR CHELSEA STARLET

Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek is being tracked by la liga giants Barcelona report English newspaper The Mirror today.

The 16-year-old midfielder is one of the hottest prospects at Stamford Bridge and many see the Chelsea academy protege as a future England star, although he is yet to sign professional terms with the London club.

This has led to claims that Barça are ready to mount a bid to take him to Catalunya – a move that would reverse the recent trend of English clubs prising youngsters away from the Camp Nou.

Cheek is an England under-16 international and is a member of Chelsea’s under-18 side, who have already produced a number of players that have progressed into Andres Villas-Boas’ senior squad at Stamford Bridge.
