1. Mini Estadi – Standing in the shadows of the Camp Nou is the home to Barcelona’s B team, the only team in the city currently playing in Spain’s Segunda Division. Needless to say, the vast majority of Pep Guardiola’s current squad passed through here on their way from la Masia to the glories of the last few seasons, and those who never get any further are invariably sold on to other top European clubs. Given the recent emphasis on home grown players progressing to the first team, Barca’s B team will always struggle to keep a settled side, and this season has been no exception, with Isaac Cuenca and Cristian Tello the latest to make the transition. In addition they have to compete in the knowledge that realistically their team will never be promoted, as for obvious reasons they are not allowed to compete in the same league as Pep’s men. However the opportunity to try and force your way into his future plans means that Barca B games are rarely dull, and the style of football on offer is of course exactly the same.
